Initial setup and connection of API keys

In this article, we will explain how to create, configure, and connect an API key to the platform using    Binance as an example. 

Do you need to create keys for OKX? This is described in the article: "How to create and connect API keys to OKX." 



Access the "Settings" section by clicking on the top right corner of the main terminal window:



Step 1. Use the menu in the left corner in the "Settings" section to do initial settings:


Step 2. How to create and connect API keys to the platform


For trading on futures, keep in mind that API keys should be created on Binance after connecting to Binance Futures. Working with old or used keys is invalid.



The platform can be connected to Binance & OKX exchanges



To do this, you need to click on the “Add API Key” option and select the Binance exchange:



In the selected section, copy IP addresses to the clipboard (click the "Copy" button):



Go to Binance. Log in and open the API Management tab. There users can create new API keys and label them:


Next, click on "Create API" and choose the key generated by the system:




Click an "Edit restrictions" (1) button when a new API key is created. Activate a "Restrict access to trusted IPs only" (2) checkbox and paste the copied IP addresses from the LEXX platform into the field below:




Click "Confirm" (1) when IP addresses from the platform are pasted. It is obligatory to activate "Enable Spot & Margin Trading" and "Enable Futures" checkboxes (2). Save the changes (3):


1. Copy the key from the “API key” line in the Binance settings and paste it into the “Public Key” line in the platform settings, and then copy the key from the “Secret Key” line into the “Private Key” line(1);

2. activate the checkboxes spot & futures (2);

3. click “Save API keys(3) 



When the API keys connection is successful, it is shown by an indicator next to the exchange's name:



Step 3. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA) by selecting the "Security" tab:



Step 4. Connect Telegram bots by selecting the "Notifications" tab (1). To add new bots, click on "+ Add Telegram bot" (2) and follow the further instructions in the pop-up bot connection window:



Congratulations, the initial setup is complete!
